Athena Triple Offset Butterfly Valves

Athena Triple Offset Butterfly Valves

author: ATHENA GROUP

Product Overview

Athena triple offset butterfly valves are high-performance industrial flow control devices engineered for rigorous industrial pipeline systems, integrating innovative eccentric structural design and precision sealing technology to deliver exceptional durability, stable operation and zero-leakage performance. As a core product series of ATHENA’s industrial valve lineup, these valves complement the brand’s double eccentric butterfly valves and other high-performance butterfly valve models, forming a comprehensive product system to meet diverse industrial flow regulation and isolation demands across multiple sectors.

Core Structural and Sealing Advantages

The most prominent advantage of triple offset butterfly valves lies in their optimized triple eccentric structure and two-way zero-leakage sealing capability. Different from conventional butterfly valves that generate continuous friction between the disc and seat during opening and closing, the unique eccentric design enables the sealing pair to completely detach the moment the valve starts to open. This structural innovation eliminates persistent contact friction between the valve seat and disc, drastically reducing component wear and tear. Meanwhile, the valve features ultra-low operating torque, which effectively lowers the load on driving actuators, reduces energy consumption during operation, and extends the overall service life of the valve and supporting equipment.

Material Configuration and Working Condition Adaptability

Built for arduous and high-intensity working conditions, this series of butterfly valves supports three mainstream industrial connection methods: flange connection, wafer connection and lug connection, which can perfectly adapt to different pipeline installation requirements and on-site construction conditions. It adopts a mature structural layout with diverse connection forms, boasting compact structure, flexible installation modes and strong adaptability to various pipeline systems. The valve body is available in premium carbon steel and stainless steel material options, covering conventional and corrosive working environments respectively. Equipped with high-quality RTFE seats, the valve achieves reliable bidirectional sealing and absolute zero leakage, fully meeting the strict shut-off requirements of industrial pipelines. The wear-resistant and anti-corrosion seat configuration also enhances the valve’s stability in complex medium environments, including high-temperature water, mild slurry and chemical fluids.

Design Standards and Functional Characteristics

All Athena triple offset butterfly valves are strictly designed and manufactured in full compliance with the authoritative API 609 industrial standard, ensuring standardized dimensional accuracy, structural stability and performance indicators. The standard-compliant design guarantees consistent product quality, excellent interchangeability and high safety, making the valves applicable to mainstream industrial pipeline systems worldwide. In terms of functional performance, the valves serve two core industrial purposes: they can fully open or close pipeline passages to realize medium isolation, and can also precisely adjust flow rates to meet variable flow control needs in production processes.
