Three-Way Ball Valve: Precision Engineering Drives Global Fluid Control Excellence

Three-Way Ball Valve: Precision Engineering Drives Global Fluid Control Excellence

author: ATHENA GROUP
2025-12-19
Originating from Athena Engineering S.r.l.’s Italian headquarters, Athena brand three-way ball valves have long served global markets including the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa and Europe. With mature performance and exquisite craftsmanship, they provide efficient fluid control solutions for various industries. Their scientific and practical structural design is the key to adapting to diverse working conditions.

Core Components: Foundation of Stable Operation

Athena three-way ball valves’ excellent performance comes from precision-engineered key components. The valve body, integrally forged from 316 stainless steel or titanium alloy, features precision-machined three-way flow passages. It withstands up to 413bar pressure and -53℃ to 232℃ temperature, ensuring stable operation in harsh environments.
The flow-regulating ball, available in L-type and T-type, is made of the same high-quality metal as the valve body. Precision polishing enhances wear resistance and sealing. Linked to external actuators via the valve stem, it switches flow paths with a 90° rotation for easy and quick operation.
The sealing system, consisting of PTFE valve seats and high-performance gaskets, meets ANSI Class VI standards to prevent leakage. Gaskets between the valve body and bonnet further enhance sealing reliability for long-term operation.

Differentiated Flow Paths: Adapt to Diverse Needs

L-type flow paths connect two perpendicular pipelines for quick flow switching, suitable for simple diversion scenarios. Its compact design saves installation space.
T-type flow paths enable three-pipeline connection for mixing, diversion or selective channel sealing, ideal for complex applications. With four-sided valve seats, it offers superior sealing and can replace L-type structures.

Auxiliary Design: Easy Installation & Maintenance

Adopting a modular design, the valve is easy to disassemble, improving maintenance efficiency by over 50%. It supports manual (anti-slip handwheel) and electric operation to meet different application needs.
Backed by Italian craftsmanship, Athena 3 way ball valves are widely used in global key projects and highly recognized by customers for their reliable performance.
Athena Engineering S.r.l. will continue to innovate, focusing on global market needs to provide targeted 3 way ball valve and customized fluid control solutions.
