A drain valve is a mechanical device used to release excess or unwanted quantities of liquid or gas from the main valve. By turning the handwheel of the drain valve, the liquid or gas will drain from the main valve by gravity or pressure differential.

BB, OS&Y, Rising Stem, Backseat, Sour Service, Flexible Wedge, with 1”-800 LB- SW-forged steel gate valve as the drain valve
